The SENDiass4BCP Advice line and emails are now closed until the 7th of August, as we have a little summer break to catch up. On our return, we will have fewer staff until the new term in September, so please bear with us.

Our phone & emails will be closed for the 24/07 - 05/08. This will give our staff time to catch up, as we have become quite busy toward the end of term. In addition, we have fewer staff over the summer holidays, so please bear with us. We will still be supporting families & young people who we're already supporting.

A reminder for tomorrow, if you are near Boscombe: One of our SENDiass Officers and a Parent Champion will be available during a drop-in session between 12pm – 2pm at Boscombe Family Hub. An opportunity to ask any questions with regards to education, health and social care matters of children and young people up to the age of 25. Parent Champions will be available at Stay and Play on Thursday the 15th of June (Queens Park YMCA) and at Branksome Outreach Centre on the 22nd of June, both between 10-11.

Anna Freud have released an animation, and a number of resources, to help young people talk about anxiety and manage their feelings. There are also guides for parent carers, and a toolkit for teachers, so that they are better prepared to help and support a young person who is struggling with anxiety overwhelming them.
While it is aimed at children between the ages of 11-13, its may be useful for other ages too. Take a look, and see if you can put it to good use!
Back to school, and it is Carer's Week as well! Sarah will be at Somerford Arc Community centre, along with others from BCP and local charities. Drop-in for questions and breakfast!
Sarah will be there this Thursday the 8th of June, between 9:30 and 11:30.

Having belatedly remembered that Monday is a Bank Holiday, it seemed sensible to let you know that we will be closed this Monday the 29th! You can still send us emails then, of course. Our phone lines will reopen on Tuesday the 30th, as we are keeping them open this half term.
