@annaecook You just reminded me that years ago, there was a girl, a few years younger than me, who called me "dear." I found it odd.
@esdin Unfortunately, I am looking for work. I do have to brand myself for that.
@Strandjunker That is true. You do have to check your #facts before you ever write a word. I used to work in radio as a Creative Writer. I also had to take calls and there were few people (Not many), who called and let me know that what we aired on the news was wrong. I had to forward that message to the News Team.
There's A LOT of discussion about content moderation right now and very little of it touches on the fact that we've all lived on the big social sites for the last decade-plus thanks to the massively exploitated labor of mostly-invisible moderation workers. The social web at scale wouldn't have happened without these laborers, who in addition to shit wages, have been exposed to literally every imaginable horror.
If we're remaking this world, let's do better on that front.
Where are all the #ADHD #JobSearch Coaches that don't have you pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for them to help you?
Introduction: I am from #Canada and I wasn't diagnosed with #ADHD as an adult. I have the inattentive kind. So yes, I am a daydreamer. This means that I am #creative. And like many people with ADHD, I am a #Jobhopper. I have been unemployed for two years, and I am finding #JobSearch more frustrating than ever. I am not on #disability (Because where I live ADHD is not a disability), Employment Insurance or Welfare (Where I live, I have to be under $5,000 to apply.)
I am a Canadian adult with #ADHD. I wish that I was diagnosed as a kid, but they still don't have a test to diagnose inattentive ADHD. I also have a rare defect called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum or #ACC. And I am looking for work in #Broadcasting, #Podcasting 🍐
