@larrygmaguire Problem with that is that not everyone will get the same . Being an I have read tons of articles about how to make money online. I did try them and those didn't work for me. But I am online to grow my . And it is slow but worth it. But I am looking for all avenues of employment not just one. My own gut feeling is telling me to get a main job, and look for work on the side. Who wants to be unemployed with no other ?

@larrygmaguire Not everything works for everyone. I have tried to network, but I only got the message to online for a job. Yep, people said that. I moved back in with my mother 2 years ago, and I haven't been out social. I don't know anybody who want to hire me. I'm not good with myself. There is a story with that which I will not get into here. I don't own a because ink is expensive. But I have to go to Staples to print something....

@larrygmaguire There is one problem with your suggestion. I came back to live with my mother which I thought would be temporary. And I haven't been networking all that much. I did try someone who I went to and they asked me apply on the . Plus I don't have a (Because is expensive). I am not great with myself (There is another reason which I will not get into here). I haven't been out much lately. It's -25 degrees where I am right now.

Thank you, everyone following me. Ideally, I want to follow back pretty much everyone - and make you part of my #community here at #mastodon. My single criteria, really, is "give me a hint of who you are". I want to build a big community for myself - I'm very social that way - but I want to know who I'm socializing with.

The only people I haven't followed back have left either their icon or their descriptions blank. Most haven't posted. That leaves a hole where a person should be.

Maybe you don't care one way or the other if anyone - me included - follows you back. That's one of the joys of this place: we all craft our own experience here. But - i f you do want me to more fully engage with you, I'd love to do it. DM me. Right off the bat we'll be having a conversation. That's all I'm looking for here.

For everyone who says "well at least the US healthcare system doesn't have waiting lists", if it takes you 10 years to have the money/insurance to cover something chronic, that's the equivalent of a 10 year waiting list.

Yes the US system can be amazing for the wealthy. That's not representative of the typical person's experience though. Acting as if every American is rich is completely disingenuous

Dear everyone -- Please support the admin of your instance. Go to Name of server/about to find out how your admin can accept donations.

They don't get paid and the #TwitterMigration has increased the cost of hosting a server. Every time EM does something moronic, there's a sudden influx.

Be kind, be patient. Your server may have another slowdown as we're all online and more people are signing up. Give your admin some time.

Public Service Warning

Mastodon has a very big surge of new users right now. There's no way to tell if it will be sustained, but at this early point it looks similar to Nov 18 when Musk pulled the employee purge.

It is very challenging for system administration to accommodate so many new users. If your server starts to struggle, it is not broken and will get sorted out.

We're all in this together. It's our social network. Be patient. What we are building is amazing.

Since I failed writing ( It was a long form nightmare) for a client years, I now cringe😬 whenever a posting requires SEO knowledge. My only experience is writing for radio. Now I am taking a course about SEO for . Hopefully, my doesn't show up here, causing me to lose interest in it.
