It showcases the most-shared links, SSRN publications, trending hashtags, and top tweets from members of the #Law / #LawFedi community.

@icymi_law was built to help with discovery in folks' timelines (fleshing out sparse feeds, and on the other end, helping surface quality content amid an ocean of posts). Enough folks asked for a digest, however, that I figured it was worth making.

As you meander through the base of the #canyon, you can see the the light coming in through the top and bouncing off the rock walls creating mesmerizing light and shadow. Canada Starts Process to forfeit Assets of a Russian Oligarch. The Funds Will Support Ukraine.

Canada is starting the first process to pursue the forfeiture of assets from a sanctioned Russian oligarch: Roman Abramovich's $26 million in assets from Granite Capital Holdings Ltd.

If forfeited, the $26 million will be able to be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine and compensation to victims of the Putin regime’s illegal and unjustifiable invasion.

It's a start.

With a few of the furry Mastodon servers being overwhelmed, maybe a good time to remind new folks that you don't have to all be on the same Mastodon server in order to see/interact with each other :P

#JohnMastodon is proof that things *CAN* go viral here on Mastodon, but the key is that *YOU* are the algorithm. The reason that the John Mastodon meme showed up on other people's timelines is because so many users boosted the posts.

The lesson here is: please don't just favourite something if you really enjoyed it; BOOST it so that other people can enjoy it, too! This is the only reason why I bother to create as large a social graph as I can on Mastodon—to act as an amplifier. You can, too!❤️😉
