Ok I just sent a cold email to the people I do ADHD evals with pitching an expansion into creating something similar for autism. Their ADHD assessments are less than $200 for the whole thing, and they take insurance. Autism evals cost an average of $1,500 and often more than $3,000. Fingers crossed they think it's worth pursuing 🤞

@dramypsyd as someone who has been assessed for both in the recent past I would say the answer is yes. I have many connections in our space who want to get assessed but can’t due to the cost and also provider’s who don’t understand that there are multiple presentations of both differences.
@dheadley Providers having no idea what autism is or the range of how autistic people "look" is such a problem. I'm trying to get approval to offer CE credit so that I can make some courses and teach people how to do it right. Which is a very autistic approach to the problem, I realize.
