Substances influence our experience of ADHD. Stimulant medication, for example, helps many ADHD'ers manage their symptoms.

Alcohol, because of its effects on brain regions related to executive functioning, balance, and attention can often make ADHD symptoms worse.

At the same time, alcohol can reduce stimulation needs and lower reliance on anxious coping strategies for some people, making the interaction between alcohol and ADHD particularly complex

Yesterday evening I gave a presentation to friends and family. In two hours, I explained them what professional genealogists encounter in their work, what kind of products they offer to clients and how they often deal with sensitive information and difficult situations. The audience appreciated my talk a lot, and came to the conclusion that #genealogy or #familyhistory is much more than drawing a family tree.

Went to Walmart as a last resort to buy something we couldn't find elsewhere. Saw boxes and boxes of free covid home test kit laying around on a table. Grabbed one just in case, and also because other people didn't seem to be interested in getting one. Now we have 3 or 4 of them at home. We've only ever used them once in the spring this year after my in-laws came to visit to celebrate my birthday and tested positive the next day. We both tested negative but self-isolated for a week anyway.

They stop at 1911 as when launched a decade ago the NLS wanted to respect the 100 year privacy rule observed by 1911 census.
