Doing an interview with the BBC to promote my upcoming musical “Allegiance” in London.
This is my legacy project, the work I am most proud of and am most eager to share with UK audiences. It tells the story of our community, when 120,000 Japanese Americans were put into barbed wire prison camps during WWII because we resembled the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
Allegiance is a celebration of the human spirit over adversity. #NeverForget

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a thousand times: Encouraging kids to be who they are is suicide prevention.

We are waltzing our way into a global catastrophe and only a handful of people see it. Anybody minimizing this risk just doesn't know what they are talking about. We *must* raise the debt limit in the lame duck because there are good odds it won't happen in the next Congress — and it will lead to a global financial meltdown.

Just now: Security guard refusing to let me into the stadium for USA-Wales. “You have to change your shirt. It’s not allowed.”

U.S. Supreme Court rebuffs dispute over nursing home COVID suits

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear California nursing home operator Glenhaven Healthcare's bid to avoid a lawsuit filed in state court over the COVID-19 death of a resident, turning away the company's effort to move the case into federal court to gain immunity from such litigation.

Given the timing of the Twitter implosion and the World Cup, am I alone in suspecting this may have to do with forces seeking to bury human rights violations? 🤔

"absolutely awful" Lauren, YOU are responsible for this. 🤬🤬

GOP Representative Lauren Boebert has vowed to tweet "even more" about "groomers" after a report found that her Twitter account was the third most influential in the U.S. at spreading "the hateful groomer narrative."

The news out of Colorado Springs is absolutely awful.

This morning the victims & their families are in my prayers.

This lawless violence needs to end and end quickly.

one problem with people saying that older dystopian novels predicted the future is that it disregards that the problems they tackle were also relevant at the time the novel was written. we just haven't fixed anything and the problems have compounded. as expected.

it worries me to imply that these problems are new and not a culmination of decades worth of compounding legislation and attitudes.

Our county is finally bringing back and I can't be happier to get involved more with them.

How to Get Diagnosed Just 26 Years! suicide, medical model, hospitals, psych meds

@johnnyprofane1 @actuallyautistic so I haven't been diagnosed for ADHD because it's far too expensive.

Etsy // puzzle piece // autism speaks 🤮🤮🤮

Imagine waking up everyday only to be told you’re broken, part of you is missing and you need to be fixed.

Imagine being a parent who thinks this way about their own child.

That’s so so so fucked up, y’all. How did we let this happen? (I know the backstory of AS, this is a rhetorical question).

I just find it so deeply disgusting that there are kids out there growing up internalising this harmful rhetoric.

@olive @bookstodon People who don't understand having more books than you can read in the short term obviously don't understand that readers have moods. It's impossible to know what book I'm going to read next until I see how I feel when I finish the one I'm reading now. I need *options*.

Studies suggest that autistic people are more likely to be trans than allistics more so than neurotypicals.

Today is trans day of remembrance and I’m thinking of all the trans people who lost their lives due to hate and violence.
You’re never forgotten and we will keep on fighting towards a more trans inclusive world :heart_transgender:

Someone go get Mark Hamill. We can’t leave him on the dark side.

Tell the world why you still mask positive but light perr pressure is working.

It doesn’t have to be like this. Let’s work together to get mask protection back in places we are packed in like sardines.

@eatonhamilton @broadwaybabyto MAiD is a great example of how not to implement assisted dying let alone regulate it.

You know what? Disabled people are not lesser than you are. They value their lives just as much as you value yours. They are just as important to the world as you are. If you think something different, go jump in a lake, ableist.

No more using ableist words on this site, huh? No "stu---," "idi--," "la--," etc. You don't mean to be saying that something or someone is as bad as a disabled person, do you, really?
