My husband is convinced the #pandemic is over and everything is back to normal. He thinks I'm crazy to wear #masks in public.

He has no interest in evidence that people are still getting sick, dying, suffering from #LongCovid and worse.

Doesn't believe that all our friends/family who died of #HeartAttacks, #strokes over the last 2 years had anything to do with #Covid.

I don't want to be put in dangerous situations by my own life partner.

This is tearing us apart.

Any advice?

@morganarae Stay strong and be proactive in protecting yourself. I wish you the best.

@morganarae My family is not supportive either. I was training to be a medical assistant recently and I was the ONLY one left still wearing a mask. I get people have fatigue over covid, but I feel like the world is allowing itself to get reinfected with something worse.

@Lottacontinua88 I'm sorry your family isn't supportive. I don't understand humans. It seems so obvious that if we all just masked up, vaxxed, tracked and traced, took precautions, we could get back to normal. 🤷‍♀️

@morganarae The joys of capitalism. Then we bitch about the lack of workers when covid killed many of them. Sigh.

@Lottacontinua88 Exactly.

My accountant called me last week to say she's retiring suddenly for health reasons. That's not weird at all.

Two friends had strokes the week before. Also not weird.

Good thing Covid is over and everything is back to normal.

@morganarae When we refuse to mourn and learn as a collective society, we just put ourselves back further in our own ignorance and somehow thinking it is a strength.
